Front-end Development for Interactive Applications Instructor

Kwantlen Polytechnic University is seeking a qualified instructor to teach front-end development for interactive applications in our Wilson School of Design. As a faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the design-related courses, including user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) foundations, design systems, and responsive design.
Responsibilities:- Teach and mentor students in front-end development for interactive applications
- Develop and implement curriculum for design-related courses
- Assist students outside of scheduled class time
- Participate in curriculum development and review
- Contribute to the development of a collaborative and inclusive learning environment
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, interaction design, or related disciplines
- Post-secondary teaching experience, minimum 3 years preferred
- Experience working in a teaching-intensive post-secondary institution
- Proven track record of leading teams and project management within a design-related industry role
- Specialized knowledge of graphic design and layout
- Extensive knowledge of and ability to work in Adobe Creative Suites
- Extensive knowledge of UX artifacts and design principles
