Kwantlen Polytechnic University is seeking a qualified faculty member to teach front-end development for interactive applications in our Wilson School of Design.
About the PositionThis is a faculty position for a Qualified Faculty List (QFL) to teach design-related courses and computer science and technology (CSIT) courses within the Front-end Development for Interactive Applications program.
Responsibilities- Teach front-end development for interactive applications courses, including design foundations, user interface (UI) foundations, user experience (UX) foundations, design systems, and responsive design.
- Develop and maintain curriculum for front-end development for interactive applications courses.
- Assist students outside of scheduled class time and provide support for student projects.
- Participate in program development and review, and contribute to the growth and success of the program.
- Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in front-end development for interactive applications or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of front-end development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Experience with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and industry partners.
