Pharmacist - Dispensary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dispensary Pharmacist to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
About the Role:The Dispensary Pharmacist will be responsible for:
- Interpreting medication orders and prescriptions to ensure accurate dispensing and labeling
- Assessing prescriptions for therapeutic suitability and ensuring compliance with established standards and procedures
- Communicating effectively with physicians, patients, and other healthcare team members to resolve prescription clarification and problem resolution
- Participating in the collection of data for medication use evaluation projects and implementing dispensary-based medication safety initiatives
- Contributing to internal publications and participating in clinical drug trials in accordance with established standards and procedures

Requirements:To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A current license of the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia
- Active membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists is encouraged
- At least one year of related work experience in a hospital pharmacy, desirable

- Teaching skills, including the ability to teach clients and others both one-on-one and in groups
- Knowledge integration skills, including the ability to integrate best practice and current research evidence to support professional practice decisions and actions

- Critical thinking skills, including the ability to integrate and evaluate pertinent data to problem-solve and make decisions effectively
