Our esteemed client, a reputable construction company, is seeking a highly skilled ICI Project Manager/Estimator to join their dynamic team in Ottawa.

Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for construction and a knack for managing projects and estimating costs? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same?

In this exciting role, you will wear two hats – Project Manager and Estimator. You will lead the charge on various ICI construction and renovation projects, from initial planning to successful completion. As the estimating ace, you will prepare competitive tenders, ensuring accuracy and a keen eye for risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of ICI construction and renovation projects.
  2. Estimating: Prepare accurate and competitive tenders, taking into account project scope, timelines, and budgets.
  3. Collaboration: Work closely with clients, consultants, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project delivery.
  4. Problem-Solving: Identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Requirements:

  1. 5+ years' experience as an Estimator/Project Manager in the construction industry.
  2. Construction-related degree or diploma (an asset).
  3. Eligibility to pass Reliability/Secret Security Clearance.
  4. Proficiency in reading and understanding construction plans and contracts.
  5. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  6. Strong leadership qualities.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of relevant construction law and building codes.

Mandatory Requirements:

  1. Timber ICI Estimation & Project Management exposure or Strong Residential Estimation experience.
  2. License and vehicle access.
  3. Must be immediately located within the general region.
