Clinical Research Associate Role at The University of British Columbia

The University of British Columbia is seeking a Clinical Research Associate to become a vital part of our team. This role is situated within the Mood Disorders Centre, part of the Department of Psychiatry. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the Principal Investigator, Dr. Kamyar Keramatian, on various research initiatives.

Position Overview

The Clinical Research Associate will engage in a variety of research-related tasks, including the identification and recruitment of study participants, documentation of patient information, support in the development of research protocols, literature analysis, and the upkeep of study documentation, among other responsibilities.

Primary Duties
  • Identify and recruit participants for research studies
  • Document patient information and conduct data entry
  • Support the development of research protocols
  • Conduct literature analysis
  • Maintain accurate study documentation
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations
  • Perform additional relevant tasks as required
Qualifications
  • Completion of high school is mandatory; a Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required
  • Experience with clinical trials and interaction with clinical populations is essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SPSS is necessary
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities are required
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual who is enthusiastic about contributing to mental health research.
