Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Floor Covering Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing resilient floor coverings, inspecting and repairing damaged floor coverings, and conducting various tests prior to flooring installations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Repair: Install resilient floor coverings, inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, and conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations.
  • Preparation and Planning: Prepare floors for installations, remove existing floor coverings and contaminants, and read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
  • Material Handling: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt, and prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered.
  • Coating and Application: Apply coatings and materials such as hardeners and epoxies, and specialize in urethane coatings.
  • Work Environment: Work in various locations, including commercial, industrial, institutional, residential, and urban areas, and handle heavy loads, bend, crouch, and kneel.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Commercial, industrial, institutional, residential, and urban areas.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, judgment, organized, and team player.
