Your Role: Assistant Department Manager, Bakery

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as an Assistant Department Manager in our Port Hardy bakery. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of the department while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of dedicated bakers, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales within the bakery department.
  • Manage inventory levels, ensuring efficient stock rotation and minimizing waste.
  • Train and develop team members, providing guidance on baking techniques and product knowledge.
  • Communicate effectively with store management and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
Your Qualifications:
  • A genuine passion for baking and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment is an asset.
  • Food Safe Certification is required.
