Financial Analyst

The Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA) department at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA is a global organization with local presence, providing financial services through global and efficient processes and consistent norms, leveraging on production hubs. The FPA department is the sole provider of actionable financial reports and analysis to assist SGS management in steering the financial performance of the Americas.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting: Consolidate financials for management reporting, lead the Americas Budget process, prepare forecasts, produce financial trend analysis, certify SGS costs, contribute to the monthly closings, and ensure alignment with norms around performance management.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze and present SGS financial performance to senior management, define and provide actionable reports and analysis to assist SGS support functions management in their financial steering.
- Financial Communication: Collaborate with the FP&A team, Accounts Payables (AP) team, and Legal entity controllers to ensure optimal quality in the production of reports and other input data in the FP&A processes.
- Financial Presentation: Prepare and present monthly financial management reporting, including gap analysis of Budget trajectories vs prior years, vs. forecast and prior strategic plans to business partners.
- Accounting Knowledge: Strong accounting knowledge, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and data management skills.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Communication Skills: Good analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
- Organizational Skills: Well-organized and detail-oriented; able to perform multiple tasks and adapt to a changing work environment.
- System Skills: Strong system skills and knowledge for Financial Modelling, PowerBI Report Creation, Managing Data, Power Query Data manipulation, and Alteryx.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently with tight deadlines and demonstrate the ability to work within a team.
Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is required as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
