Brandt is actively seeking skilled Technicians for our Material Handling division. This role focuses on the upkeep and repair of forklift machinery and attachments within a workshop setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly assess the operational state of, diagnose, disassemble/reassemble, procure parts for, and repair forklift machinery.
  • Safely and efficiently utilize secondary materials and equipment.
  • Employ relevant instruments, hand and power tools, auxiliary equipment, and computer systems.
  • Meticulously document all machine details, actions performed, and time spent on work orders.
  • Continuously evaluate service task risks and ensure work is conducted safely and meets established standards.
  • Utilize computer applications and information systems for documenting maintenance, inspections, and diagnostics.
  • Refer to parts catalogs to identify components and coordinate with parts personnel for ordering.
  • Conduct road tests on equipment and verify attachment functionality as necessary.

Required Skills

  • Effective communication and collaboration with customers, service teams, and branch staff.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Required Experience

  • Consideration will be given to apprentices and non-certified technicians with relevant industry experience.
  • Preferred background includes mechanical experience in heavy equipment or automotive sectors.
  • Certification as a Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or an equivalent recognized trade is advantageous.
  • Commitment to customer service and excellence in service delivery.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills with customers, service teams, and branch personnel.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
