Job Title: Recreational Therapist

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Recreational Therapist to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Recreational Therapist to work with our clients in chronic or long-term care facilities/centres. The successful candidate will have a strong background in therapeutic recreation and be able to develop and implement treatment plans to meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Consult with other health care professionals to evaluate treatment plans and develop individualized programs for clients.
  • Record observations and write progress reports to track client progress.
  • Perform administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the program.
  • Prepare and implement treatment plans for each client, including recreational activities and therapies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care.
Requirements:
  • Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) designation.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • 2 years of experience in a therapeutic recreation setting.
