Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Student Life, Housing and Athletic Services team. As Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance the student experience, promote student success, and foster a sense of belonging among our diverse student population.
Key Responsibilities:- Student Life and Communities of Belonging: Collaborate with Indigenous peoples, academic schools, and student experience teams to integrate Indigenous knowledges and services into the Student Life continuum.
- Strategic Risk Mitigation and Student Success Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans to support student learning and success, and provide oversight of deliverables within the portfolio.
- Student Development and Success: Contribute to college-wide recruitment, persistence/retention, and graduation planning, and ensure that reporting units and managers' plans are aligned with overall college strategy.
- Resource Stewardship and Business Operations: Develop the human resource capacity necessary to deliver services, and establish an effective working environment by directing the hiring, training, and motivating of unit staff.
- Collaborative Partnerships and Professional Communities: Partner with senior staff members to ensure that appropriate portfolio services are delivered to and utilized by students.
- Education and Experience: Minimum Master's degree in a relevant field, and a minimum of 9 years of relevant leadership experience, including demonstrated success in a student success environment.
- Skills and Attributes: Strong working knowledge of post-secondary delivery, excellent communication and facilitation skills, and broad leadership skills, including a visionary and detail-oriented work style.
