Job Title: Registered Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Lawtons Pharmacy in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

About the Role:

As a Registered Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient-centered care and exceeding patients' expectations. You will be responsible for preparing, processing, and compounding prescriptions, including receiving and transcribing verbal prescriptions from practitioners, ensuring prescriptions are complete and authentic, and conducting the final check of prepared prescriptions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process prescriptions, including receiving and transcribing verbal prescriptions from practitioners
  • Ensure prescriptions are complete and authentic
  • Conduct the final check of prepared prescriptions
  • Confirm the accuracy of drug and personal health information in patient records
  • Provide injections/vaccinations as applicable by regulations in certain jurisdictions
  • Transfer prescriptions to and receive prescriptions from other pharmacies
Requirements:
  • Completion of the Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician License in Canada (required)
  • Injection Certification (preferred)
