About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Trades Assistant to join our team at Khalsa Forming Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload construction materials, equipment, and supplies from vehicles and storage areas.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by erecting and dismantling scaffolding, ramps, and other temporary structures.
  • Material Handling: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt, and assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Clean and pile salvaged materials, and remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and deadlines to meet.
  • Physical Demands: Perform physically demanding tasks, including handling heavy loads and working at heights.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail and ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: Experience in a related field is an asset, but not required.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 33-35 hours per week.
