About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Trades Assistant to join our team at OIC Construction Ltd. as a Construction Support Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials with precision and care.
  • Pre-Operational Inspection: Conduct thorough pre-operational inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Assistance in Construction: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs with attention to detail and safety protocols.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Clean and pile salvaged materials, and remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • Traffic Direction: Direct traffic at or near construction sites with confidence and authority.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Physical Demands: This role requires a high level of physical fitness, with the ability to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Repetitive Tasks: The position involves repetitive tasks, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Weight Handling: The successful candidate will be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) with ease.
