About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Construction Trades Assistant to join our team at OIC Construction Ltd.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Pre-Operational Inspection: Perform thorough inspections of equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Assistance with Construction Tasks: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs under the supervision of experienced tradespeople.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Clean and pile salvaged materials, and remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • Site Safety: Direct traffic at or near construction sites, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Physical Demands: The role requires physical stamina and the ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Repetitive Tasks: The position involves performing repetitive tasks, which can be physically demanding.
  • Weight Handling: The successful candidate will be required to lift and handle materials weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
