About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and physically capable individual to join our team at Ledwidge Lumber as a Mechanic Assistant. In this role, you will provide support to our tradespersons and other workers in maintaining our equipment and ensuring a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and Operate Equipment: Assist in the maintenance and operation of our landscape maintenance equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
  • Support Tradespersons: Provide assistance to our tradespersons and other workers as directed, helping to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure Safety: Signal safety procedures to other workers and the general public, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Clean machines and immediate work areas, and rake and collect refuse to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Work Environment

As a Mechanic Assistant at Ledwidge Lumber, you can expect a physically demanding work environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling. You will be handling heavy loads and performing repetitive tasks, requiring attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.

Requirements
