Head of Quality Assurance

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Head of Quality Assurance to oversee our operations in Ontario. This pivotal role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for the comprehensive management of food safety and product quality across our manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take charge of all quality assurance functions at our Ontario and Indiana plants, including:
- Product testing
- Quality control processes
- Regulatory compliance
- Continuous improvement initiatives
- Foster a culture of quality throughout the organization, emphasizing that quality is a collective responsibility.
- Develop and implement effective quality assurance strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and safety.
- Build, mentor, and lead a team of quality assurance professionals, encouraging them to engage their teams in quality practices.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in quality assurance within the food and beverage sector, with a proven track record of leading continuous improvement efforts.
Technical Expertise:
- Proficient in thermal processing techniques and sanitation systems.
- Results-driven with a strong focus on achieving quality goals and contributing to business success.
Leadership Skills:
- Experience in managing a quality assurance team, fostering high performance and efficiency.
Change Management:
- Demonstrated success in leading complex projects and adapting to shifting priorities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying intricate concepts to a non-technical audience.
