JOB OVERVIEW

The Mechanical Systems Project Manager will oversee the engineering and design of mechanical systems and machinery. This position involves collaboration with various internal teams and external stakeholders, including clients and consultants. The role will also require leadership in design certification processes, regulatory assessments, compliance with codes, and preparation of documentation for client review.

This position emphasizes practical experience in fabrication and manufacturing design.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and/or supervise the design process, including calculations, analysis, engineering modeling, and drafting to ensure compliance with technical and customer specifications.
  2. Implement design control and verification protocols.
  3. Provide technical guidance to support the production of well servicing machinery.
  4. Innovate methods to enhance both new and existing products, including validation testing procedures.
  5. Evaluate and incorporate production or field feedback to refine designs.
  6. Oversee and approve the work of Mechanical Designers/Drafters to generate detailed schematic, fabrication, and assembly drawings.
  7. Offer engineering assistance to other internal departments such as Sales, Parts Sales, and Service as required.
  8. Facilitate engineering collaboration with key internal and external partners, including suppliers, consultants, senior management, and other organizational units.
  9. Adhere to all relevant company policies, procedures, and programs, including health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  10. Participate in weekly production and project action meetings.
  11. Conduct training and mentoring for staff in new roles/tasks, safety protocols, and company policies.
  12. Review contracts and technical documents, assisting with clarifications and interpretations.
  13. Create technical documentation, including testing procedures, manuals, and publications.
  14. Perform any other assigned tasks to help achieve customer satisfaction and company objectives.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent qualifications required.
  2. Proficiency in creating fabrication and manufacturing drawings required.
  3. Minimum of 6 years of experience in Mechanical Design and Project Management.
  4. Registered professional engineer required.
  5. Background in engineering design and structural analysis.
  6. Experience in designing hydraulic systems is a plus.
  7. Familiarity with the design and operation of oilfield service equipment is preferred.
  8. Proficient in SolidWorks CAD and AUTOCAD software required.
