Job Description

Job Title: Drilling Operations Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Drilling Operations Supervisor to join our Drilling & Workover department. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and overseeing the operations of contract drilling or workover rigs working for us engaged in carrying out programmed work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and oversee the operations of contract drilling or workover rigs working for us engaged in carrying out programmed work.
  • Ensure that the contractor meets all requirements of his contract.
  • Work with Drilling and Workover engineers to ensure that modern drilling practices are followed.
  • Approve contractor's daily tour report.
  • Ensure that contractor rig and equipment are properly maintained to avoid downtime.
  • Ensure that our blowout prevention standards are met in all respects including equipment configuration, testing, and crew response.
  • Employment Tax – if employee chooses to separate themselves from their 'home country' for income tax purposes, most will not be required to pay 'home country' income taxes; Please check with your tax advisor for specifics relating to you.
  • Based on performance, approx. Vacation & Paid Holidays – 38 vacation days / 4 travel days / 11-13 paid holidays.
  • Medical/Dental Plan – complimentary in-Kingdom Johns Hopkins medical care/facilities for employee and eligible family members. In-Kingdom dental services subsidized.
  • Educational Assistance Plan (EAP) – Out of Kingdom Assistance: 90% of expenses with a maximum per child, lesser of 5x monthly base salary or the company max ($48. undergraduate college-age children get 2 round-trip economy air travel tickets; Single/Bachelor Status – 60% of monthly base salary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 7 years of experience working in drilling and workover operations including adequate supervisory experience on a drilling or workover rig.
  • Completion of ITC: English, ERW, Math, MI with 13 years relevant experience in drilling and workover operations including supervisory experience generally acquired by progression on a drilling or workover rig.
  • Willing to live in remote areas in mobile camps.
