Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Drilling and Workover Operations Supervisor to join our team at LHR Global. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operations of contract drilling or workover rigs, ensuring that all work is carried out safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise and oversee all operations performed on our wells, ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  2. Make recommendations on alternative methods or equipment when unusual situations are encountered, ensuring that the best possible outcome is achieved.
  3. Coordinate deliveries of materials to the well, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available when required.
  4. Ensure that the contractor meets all requirements of their contract, including safety and quality standards.
  5. Work closely with Drilling and Workover engineers to ensure that modern drilling practices are followed, and that all operations are carried out in accordance with industry best practices.
  6. Approve contractor's daily tour report, ensuring that all necessary information is recorded and reported.
  7. Ensure that contractor rig and equipment are properly maintained to avoid downtime, and that all necessary repairs and maintenance are carried out in a timely manner.
  8. Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by the Superintendent, ensuring that all tasks are carried out efficiently and effectively.
  9. Ensure that our blowout prevention standards are met in all respects, including equipment configuration, testing, and crew response.
  10. Assure that rig and personnel comply with our established safety standards and procedures, ensuring that all operations are carried out safely and without incident.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 7 years of experience working in drilling and workover operations, including adequate supervisory experience on a drilling or workover rig.
  2. Completion of ITC: English, ERW, Math, MI with 13 years relevant experience in drilling and workover operations, including supervisory experience generally acquired by progression on a drilling or workover rig.
  3. Willingness to live in remote areas in mobile camps, and to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Benefits
  1. Monthly Base Salary – aligned with company employees with similar skills.
  2. Monthly Overbase – 25% of your monthly base salary.
  3. Benefits Supplement – 20% of your monthly base salary, after 3 years of service, reward increases to 25% of base, after 6 years 30% of base, and after 12 years 35% of base.
  4. Severance Package (2-year vest period) – year 2 to 5: 2 week's pay for each year of service, Year 6+: 4 week's pay for each year after.
  5. Employment Tax – if employee chooses to separate themselves from their 'home country' for income tax purposes, most will not be required to pay 'home country' income taxes; company will not report income to the 'home country' governments. Please check with your tax advisor for specifics relating to you.
  6. Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP) (eligible after 12 months of service) – maximum purchase equal to 10% monthly base pay with a cap, 20% share discount.
  7. Incentive Plan – annual; based on performance, approx. 1.8x monthly base salary.
  8. Travel Allowance – annual; approx. $8,200 per household member 11+ years old residing in Saudi Arabia and $6,000 per household member under 11 years old.
  9. Vacation & Paid Holidays – 38 vacation days / 4 travel days / 11-13 paid holidays.
  10. Medical/Dental Plan – complimentary in-Kingdom Johns Hopkins medical care/facilities for employee and eligible family members. In-Kingdom dental services subsidized.
  11. Educational Assistance Plan (EAP) – Out of Kingdom Assistance: 90% of expenses with a maximum per child, lesser of 5x monthly base salary or the company max ($48.5K), plus 3 round-trip economy air travel tickets; undergraduate college-age children get 2 round-trip economy air travel tickets; In Kingdom Assistance: 2x monthly base salary or the company max ($16.3K).
  12. Settling in Allowance – one-time payment; Family Status - 100% of monthly base salary; Single/Bachelor Status – 60% of monthly base salary.
