About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Roofing Specialist to join our team at Real Blue Roofing Services Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and repairing various types of roofing systems, including built-up roofing systems, asphalt shingles, and metal roofs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Roofing Installation and Repair: Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel, and install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
  • Roofing System Maintenance: Inspect and repair existing roofing systems to ensure they are in good working condition, and apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level.
  • Blueprint Reading and Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure that roofing systems are installed correctly.
  • Tool Maintenance and Safety: Maintain and repair tools and equipment, and ensure a safe working environment by wearing steel-toed safety boots and following safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in roofing installation and repair, and a secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Language and Work Environment: Fluency in English, and a fast-paced environment with physically demanding tasks.
  • Work Schedule and Hours: 30 to 35 hours per week, with a large workload and repetitive tasks.
