About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Infrastructure Manager to join our team at Itracks. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of our network services, servers, and desktop infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain network services, including Web, Email, DNS, DHCP, and other related systems.
  • Maintain the security and integrity of our servers, desktops, and network infrastructure.
  • Plan and implement server and network hardware and software upgrades to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategies for planned maintenance outages to minimize disruption to our operations.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance and capacity of our servers and network infrastructure to identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of our IT infrastructure and processes.
  • Manage our backup and data protection systems to ensure business continuity.
  • Provide on-call support for server issues and technical assistance to staff as needed.
  • Assist staff with technical issues and provide first-level support for desktop and user-related problems.
  • Assist with the management of Azure resources as we transition to this cloud platform.

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to assist non-technical staff with their technical issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, both proactive and reactive.
  • Project management skills and experience with large-scale projects would be an asset.
  • Experience with VMware, cloud computing, Microsoft Windows Servers/Desktops, Linux, Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Firewalls, SAN, LAN architecture, WAN architecture, Network Monitoring Environments, Virtual Private Networks (VPN), and Microsoft IIS would be beneficial.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Degree or diploma from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of related experience in server administration, desktop support, and network infrastructure management.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
