Pharmacist - Nova Scotia Health Authority

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of our organization's strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Practice as a Registered Pharmacist: Provide expert advice and guidance to patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders on the safe and effective use of medications.
- Lead and Manage Pharmacy Services: Supervise and coordinate the activities of pharmacy staff, ensuring that pharmacy services are delivered in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
- Develop and Implement Pharmacy Programs: Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement pharmacy programs that improve patient outcomes and contribute to the organization's strategic priorities.
- Provide Education and Training: Educate patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders on medication management, disease prevention, and health promotion.
- Contribute to Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that support high-quality pharmacy practice.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent.
- Experience: Experience as a Registered Pharmacist, preferably in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting.
- Certifications: Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada Certification and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 75 hours bi-weekly.
