Position Overview

As a Kitchen Helper at Empress Family Restaurant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the efficiency and cleanliness of our kitchen operations. Your responsibilities will include a variety of tasks that ensure our culinary team can focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dishwashing: Operate dishwashers to effectively clean dishes, glassware, and utensils.
  • Sanitation: Manually wash and sanitize dishes and kitchen items.
  • Inventory Management: Keep accurate records of food usage and assist in inventory control.
  • Food Preparation: Package take-out orders, portion, and wrap food items, and assist in preparing simple dishes.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, and equipment.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in appropriate storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen waste and maintain cleanliness by sweeping and mopping floors.
  • Food Handling: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits as needed.
Work Environment

This position requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads and performing physically demanding tasks. You will be expected to stand for extended periods and work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a keen attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
