Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Community Centre Worker to join our team at Community Welfare Plus Center Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising support staff, performing administrative tasks, and developing and implementing programs within the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervision and Leadership
    • Supervise support staff to ensure effective program delivery and high-quality services.
    • Provide guidance and support to staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Administrative and Office Activities
    • Manage administrative tasks, including record-keeping, reporting, and data entry.
    • Coordinate office activities, including reception, mail, and supply management.
  • Program Development and Implementation
    • Assess client needs and develop programs to meet those needs.
    • Coordinate and implement programs, including volunteer recruitment and training.
  • Client Services
    • Assist clients with special needs, including those with physical or cognitive disabilities.
    • Supervise children's visits with parents to ensure their safety.
  • Volunteer Management
    • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to support program delivery.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and community partners.
    • Collaborate with community organizations to enhance program delivery and services.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Language
    • English language proficiency.
  • Work Term
    • Permanent position.
  • Hours
    • 35 hours per week.
