Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team at St. Paul Education. As a key member of our Inclusive Education team, you will provide essential support and services to students in our schools, working collaboratively with our Speech Language Pathologist and other educational staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide universal, targeted, and individualized support and services under the direction of the Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Inclusive Education Student Supports team to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Administer screening protocols, including hearing screenings selected by the supervising SLP.
  • Facilitate small group and individual services to students in schools, promoting their success and well-being.
Requirements
  • Completion of a diploma from an accredited post-secondary Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program.
  • Knowledge of speech and language milestones for children, with a strong understanding of developmental stages.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to document and report on student progress.
  • Knowledge of documentation procedures and proficiency with technology, including software and hardware used in educational settings.
  • Valid driver's license, with a clean driving record.
  • Experience working as a multi-disciplinary therapy assistant is an asset, with a proven track record of success in similar roles.
