We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at Elid Construction Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, as well as project cash flow and financing requirements. They will also create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bids forms, and advise on tendering procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
  • Project cash flow and financing requirements
  • Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bids forms
  • Advise on tendering procedures
  • Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems
  • Monitor and adjust contract expenditures
  • Prepare and maintain directory of supplies and trade contractors
  • Liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field
  • Or equivalent experience
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
