Senior Clinical Operations Director

Job Summary
Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Associate Vice President, Clinical Operations. This position reports to the VP, Coastal Community of Care (CCoC) and is accountable for the strategic planning and operational management of major clinical programs and services across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the integration of acute and community systems, focusing on client care and health-system integration.
- Develop and implement a solid quality framework and governance that is fully integrated and standardized throughout the CCoC.
- Represent the CCoC's clinicians and patients in relation to capital projects.
- Collaborate and engage with First Nations communities and Indigenous organizations in the CCoC.
- Support culture, staff, and medical staff, quality, and patient-centered care.
Requirements
- Grounded in clinical practice, preferably with nursing experience.
- Expanded into a senior leadership role in a large, complex healthcare system.
- Ability to integrate quality and safety programs and frameworks across acute and community modalities of care.
- Inclusive and empowering leader who has made a positive difference in eliminating racism and creating a culturally safe environment for Indigenous people and other equity-deserving populations.
- Comfortable working in a co-leadership model with physician leadership.
- Ability to bridge clinical and administrative needs, resulting in improved quality of care.
- Ability to be the clinical voice in capital projects, ensuring patient care is at the center of projects.
