The position is based in a retirement home, focusing on the dietary needs of our elderly residents.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of meals and individual dishes.
- Accommodate dietary restrictions for residents with food allergies or intolerances.
- Conduct inspections of kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with health standards.
- Train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe food handling practices.
- Manage inventory by ordering supplies and equipment as needed.
- Supervise kitchen staff and assist with their training and development.
- Maintain accurate records of food supplies and equipment.
- Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and work areas.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and quality.
A valid Safe Food Handling certificate is required for this position.
