Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Developer III to join our R&D technology team. As a key member of our team, you will work on implementing software components, including libraries, drivers, and firmware, and collaborate with electronic engineers to build optimum and efficient code.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement software components, including libraries, drivers, and firmware, with a strong focus on efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with electronic engineers to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components.
- Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on complex software issues.
- Contribute to the development of embedded Linux operating systems compliant with gaming industry requirements.
- Estimate task completion times accurately and manage project timelines effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in software, electronics, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in C, C++, C#, and bash programming languages.
- Experience with Unity and ability to fix complex issues.
- Knowledge of embedded Linux build using Buildroot or Yocto.
- Understanding of software requirements for various gaming jurisdictions.
- Experience with Visual Studio development environment.
- Knowledge of SVN and GIT version control tools.
- Able to read and understand electronic schematics.
- 10+ years of experience in embedded software development.
- Bilingual in French & English.
- Ability to travel to Drummondville office, Montreal, and internationally as required.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is also regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
