Technical Writer

We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team, responsible for creating high-quality technical documents for new products under development, as well as updating existing product documents.
Key Responsibilities- Design, write, and illustrate technical documents, including product installation instructions, data sheets, service manuals, reference guides, and product labels.
- Translate technical content from English to French and vice versa.
- Work closely with project teams to gain a thorough understanding of products and documentation requirements.
- Familiarize yourself with products to assist with installation, operation, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Participate in the physical validation of installation and replacement procedures.
- Perform a complete review of product operation and interface, including installation, to validate instructions.
- Participate in design reviews to understand the impact on existing and future technical documentation.
- Produce and modify illustrations, photographs, and graphics to support written content.
- Use PLM software to receive requests, coordinate changes, and publish documentation.
- Identify emerging software, tools, and technical writing practices, and propose and direct their continuous improvement and implementation.
- Fluent in French and English (bilingual, both spoken and written).
- Training in mechanical engineering, translation, computer graphics, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant experience in technical writing and/or computer graphics.
- Knowledge of Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Knowledge of Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Creo Illustrate CAD software an asset.
- Excellent mechanical sense, spatial vision, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of Spanish an asset.
