Power Systems Repair Technician

Join the team at United Rentals, the leading provider in equipment rental services, as a Power HVAC Mechanic (Service Tech IV). In this role, you will be tasked with the upkeep and repair of various machinery, including air conditioning units, chillers, diesel engines, dehumidifiers, and electrical distribution systems. Your expertise will be essential as you work autonomously while ensuring safety and professionalism in all tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, gas, and diesel systems.
  • Utilize schematics and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
  • Travel to client locations for necessary repairs.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior technicians.
  • Document all work completed accurately.
  • Assist with the delivery of equipment and parts as needed.
  • Complete other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment maintenance.
  • Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for a variety of equipment.
  • Advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 45 lbs.
