SUMMARY:

The Vehicle Acquisition Associate plays a crucial role in engaging with existing service clients. This position requires delivering exceptional customer service consistently. The associate will explore vehicle ownership options with clients who have brought their vehicles in for maintenance. Responsibilities include conducting thorough appraisals of vehicles and presenting valuations to clients, as well as following up with all clients who have had their vehicles appraised. The goal is to create opportunities for clients to upgrade or sell their vehicles to the dealership.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in achieving the dealership's objective of appraising vehicles and communicating ownership options to a significant percentage of service clients.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by understanding each client's vehicle needs through effective questioning and active listening.
  • Demonstrate the value of both the current vehicle and the benefits of considering an upgrade.
  • Facilitate the purchase paperwork for clients' vehicles based on approved appraisal values.
  • Transition clients interested in upgrading to the sales team for a seamless experience.
  • Stay informed about automotive terminology and technological advancements in products and inventory.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all products, including features, specifications, and pricing.
  • Utilize effective closing techniques and seek management assistance when necessary.
  • Ensure client satisfaction to enhance the dealership's chances of retaining business.
  • Set monthly productivity goals and strategize to achieve them.
  • Participate in departmental meetings as required.
  • Adhere to company safety policies and report any incidents to management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
  • Capability to work collaboratively with all organizational levels.
  • Proficient computer skills, including internet and MS Office, with the ability to maintain records electronically.
  • Possession of a current VSA MDC License or willingness to obtain one.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • A valid British Columbia Driver's License with a clean driving record.
