Director of Clinical Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Clinical Operations to join our team at Interior Health Authority. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the overall administrative leadership and management of assigned clinical patient care programs and services.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to ensure quality, evidenced-based clinical patient care service delivery within assigned programs.
- Foster strategic relationships with internal and external partners to identify and plan responsive delivery systems and services.
- Develop and manage operational frameworks for staffing and service delivery that support patient and family-centered care, patient safety, and quality of care.
- Establish and manage capital and operating budgets that align with strategic directions and fiscal constraints.
- Develop and implement effective workforce plans to ensure the ongoing availability of qualified, competent staff.
- Provide leadership and direction for operational staff to achieve required outcomes and ensure adherence to accreditation, regulatory, professional, and safety standards.
- Establish and maintain effective administrative systems for evaluating and reporting on the operations of assigned clinical patient care service areas.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and safety standards to provide a healthy and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Represent assigned clinical areas on internal and external committees as required.
- Strong leadership and management skills with experience in healthcare administration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives that align with organizational goals and objectives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Experience with budgeting and financial management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience working in a healthcare organization with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Knowledge of healthcare policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Experience with quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
- Ability to speak an Indigenous language (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit) is an asset.
