Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of event changeovers.
  • Assist in the hiring process and provide training to new staff members.
  • Conduct maintenance of the facility.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of conversion equipment and work areas.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager and Event Coordinators on various projects.
  • Comply with all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Perform all tasks safely, adhering to established facility protocols and health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act among staff.
  • Support the Event Manager in all aspects of event coordination.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of supplies and manage orders as needed.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and monitor their completion.
  • Foster positive communication and collaboration with all departments.
  • Assist in the daily operations and maintenance of the arena, including HVAC, sound, lighting, and safety systems.
  • Maintain the ice surface and related systems, ensuring excellent conditions for events.
  • Set up and troubleshoot audio-visual equipment for small-scale events.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • At least two years of experience in facility setups and event changeovers.
  • Familiarity with operational equipment such as staging, audiovisual, lighting, and forklifts.
  • Experience supervising and leading teams of up to 25 employees.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Proficient in computer use and learning new software.
  • Ability to walk for extended periods.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Must obtain necessary safety certifications within specified timeframes.
  • Ability to train staff in the use of power tools and equipment.
  • Experience in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills related to facility maintenance.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
