Job Title: Sous Chef

KINGSGATE ESTATE WINERY LTD. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of food, as well as supervising and training our cooking staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and train cooking staff to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and recipes to enhance our menu offerings.
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities to ensure efficient and timely service.
  • Collaborate with our culinary team to create innovative and delicious dishes.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and handling procedures.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in a senior culinary role.
  • Proven track record of success in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Cook Trade Certification and Safe Food Handling certificate.
