Instrumentation and Control Systems Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation & Controls Designer to join our team at Associated Engineering. The successful candidate will have a strong background in instrumentation and control system design, preferably in water and wastewater treatment processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop instrumentation and control systems for water and wastewater treatment processes.
- Work with hazardous area classifications and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Specify PLC & SCADA hardware and software, as well as network knowledge in routing and firewalls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Registered or eligible for registration with APEGA or ASET.
- 5+ years of experience in instrumentation and control system design.
- Working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and ISA standards.
- Experience with hazardous area classifications.
- Knowledge of PLC & SCADA hardware and software specification.
- Network knowledge in routing and firewalls.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
