Instrumentation Specialist and Sales Representative

WJF Instrumentation Ltd. is a leading provider of innovative instrumentation and professional services in Western Canada. We specialize in solving analytical and process measurement problems for our clients.

We offer a range of products and services, including water quality instrumentation, air quality analyzers, gas detection, flow meters, level and pressure instrumentation, chemical injection pumps, wastewater samplers, dewpoint transmitters, and process valves.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of process control instruments to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Provide sales and support services to customers, including identifying and addressing their needs and providing solutions to meet those needs.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve company goals and objectives, including developing and implementing sales strategies and tactics.
Requirements:
  • A journeyperson or instrumentation certificate, or an apprentice instrumentation card, is required for this position.
  • Valid and up-to-date safety tickets, including CSTS 2020, H2S Alive, and Standard First Aid, are necessary for this role.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as an instrumentation technician or sales representative is preferred.
  • The ability to physically perform all necessary duties of the job is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A technical diploma or equivalent in instrumentation or a related field is an asset.
  • Experience in process control instrumentation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of calibration techniques and excellent problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.

This is a hybrid role, with the majority of work located in Calgary, AB, but with flexibility for some remote work. The work hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.
