Senior Construction Risk Underwriter
In the role of Senior Construction Risk Underwriter, you will play a pivotal part in evaluating and underwriting intricate construction-related risks. Your expertise is vital in upholding our commitment to exceptional service and driving the company's growth and success. You will collaborate with a talented team dedicated to maintaining our status as a frontrunner in the insurance industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced Risk Evaluation and Underwriting: Assess and underwrite intricate construction risks, emphasizing builder's risk and wrap-up liability. Lead the risk evaluation process for comprehensive analyses.
- Documentation Analysis and Data Collection: Examine submission documents, including engineering assessments and budget outlines. Request supplementary information as necessary for thorough evaluations.
- Regulatory Compliance and Standards Maintenance: Ensure all operations align with company protocols and underwriting standards. Safeguard the integrity of underwriting practices.
- Collaboration with Carriers: Develop referral documentation for domestic and international carriers. Foster strong relationships with carrier partners.
- Broker Engagement and Negotiation: Deliver quotations to brokers, negotiating terms on behalf of clients. Enhance client satisfaction and business outcomes through effective negotiation strategies.
- Growth and Development Initiatives: Seek new broker and carrier partnerships while cultivating existing relationships. Propel growth and expansion through networking and strategic connections.
- Commitment to Customer Service: Uphold a high standard of customer service to reinforce the company's reputation as client-focused.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Commercial Insurance underwriting with a specialization in construction
- Strong analytical capabilities and sound judgment in risk assessment
- Preferred experience in business development and sales
- Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities
- Dedication to maintaining high standards of customer service
- Leadership qualities and a passion for mentoring
- Familiarity with the insurance sector and regulatory standards
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills
- Experience with broker management systems
- Willingness to travel as necessary
- CIP Designation and RIBO License are advantageous
