About the Role:
Nature's Fare Markets is seeking a highly motivated and organized Human Resources Generalist to join our team at our Vernon, BC Head Office. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for providing support to our team members across various retail locations, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support team members with HR coaching, advising, performance management, and disciplinary/termination support.
- Respond to employment-related inquiries from employees and escalate complex HR issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with employee-related events, such as staff anniversaries, birthdays, farewells, and overall engagement initiatives.
- Provide recommendations and insight on performance review processes, ensuring feedback for team members is relevant and meaningful.
- Advising and supporting all performance management processes, including action plans, annual reviews, and progressive discipline.
- Coordinating with our third-party claims management provider to support all WCB claims, ensuring stores are following the process correctly.
- Managing LOA requests and our return-to-work program.
- Developing monthly training topics that are relevant to trends and seasonal changes.
- Connecting regularly with stores to review all health and safety materials, including OH&S boards, meeting minutes, etc.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a related role.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resource Management or a combination of equivalent education and work experience.
- Working toward or possessing a CPHR designation considered a strong asset.
- Strong technology skills, including MS Office, Adobe, PowerPoint, and HRIS systems.
- Strong analytical skills with experience collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating information with accuracy and efficiency.
