Salary:
$150,000 CAD / year

Role Overview:
Our ideal candidate will exemplify a high standard of veterinary care, demonstrating compassion and professionalism in all interactions with patients and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct clinical examinations, diagnose, and treat various health conditions in animals.
- Prescribe and administer medications and vaccinations.
- Perform diagnostic tests, including taking cell and tissue samples.
- Treat sick or injured animals through medication, surgery, and other medical interventions.
- Maintain comprehensive medical records with the support of practice management systems.
- Vaccinate animals to prevent and manage diseases.
- Oversee the overall operations of the veterinary practice, ensuring adherence to billing practices.
- Uphold a commitment to high standards of veterinary medicine and ethical practice.
- Notify the practice promptly of any complaints received from regulatory bodies.
- Provide a range of veterinary services, including obstetrics, dentistry, and end-of-life care.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervise support staff as needed.
- Engage in veterinary research related to animal health and nutrition.
- Enforce regulations pertaining to disease control and food safety as applicable.

Qualifications:
- A 4-5 year university degree in veterinary medicine or equivalent.
- Provincial license to practice in Ontario or eligibility to obtain one.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary setting, particularly with small animals.
