Job Summary

Central Equipment Sales and Service is seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our fleet of commercial transport trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Inspection and Repair: Conduct thorough inspections of commercial transport trucks to identify and repair any mechanical issues, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Component Replacement and Adjustment: Replace and adjust parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, including engine, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Scheduled Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations, to prevent mechanical issues and extend the lifespan of our vehicles.
  • Diagnostic and Troubleshooting: Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, ensuring prompt and effective repairs.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs, including completion of reports to document problems and work performed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Language: English
  • Work Hours: 44 hours per week
