Position Overview

Experience Requirements

Educational Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in an ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree program.

Licensing Requirements

  • Active in-state Pharmacy Intern License is mandatory.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure optimal inventory levels by placing online orders, adjusting order points, and assisting in physical inventory preparations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to comply with company and regulatory standards.
  • Accurately file written prescriptions on a daily basis.
  • Support team members in various tasks to enhance departmental efficiency.
  • Analyze service and business metrics, collaborating with the team to develop action plans for improvement.
  • Execute the regular duties of a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Greet and assist patients with warmth and professionalism at all pharmacy entry points.
  • Exemplify outstanding patient care by engaging with patients, addressing their needs, and directing them to appropriate products.
  • Process sales transactions using the cash register in accordance with established procedures.
  • Contribute to the safe and efficient dispensing of medications and medical equipment by adhering to quality assurance policies.
  • Follow all Giant Eagle and pharmacy policies, including HIPAA regulations.
  • Input patient personal and insurance data accurately.
  • Document all prescription details, including calculations and specifications for medications and equipment.
  • Ensure proper documentation for insurance communications and billing processes.
  • Notify pharmacists regarding drug utilization reviews and assist with resolving third-party rejections.
  • Process medical expense reports as needed.
  • Participate in the implementation of company initiatives and programs.
