Position Overview

Experience Requirements
- 0 to 6 months of relevant experience preferred.
Educational Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree program is essential.
Licensing Requirements
- Active in-state Pharmacy Intern License is mandatory.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure optimal inventory levels by placing online orders, adjusting order points, and assisting in physical inventory preparations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to comply with company and regulatory standards.
- Process written prescriptions on a daily basis.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance departmental efficiency.
- Analyze service and business metrics to support improvement initiatives.
- Perform the duties of a Pharmacy Technician as required.
- Greet and assist patients with warmth and professionalism at all pharmacy entry points.
- Deliver exceptional patient care by addressing needs, processing orders, and directing inquiries to the pharmacist.
- Handle sales transactions accurately using the cash register, adhering to established procedures.
- Support the safe and efficient dispensing of medications and medical equipment by following quality assurance protocols.
- Adhere to all Giant Eagle and pharmacy policies, including HIPAA regulations.
- Input patient personal and insurance information accurately.
- Document all prescription details, including calculations and medication specifications.
- Ensure proper documentation for insurance communication and billing processes.
- Notify pharmacists for drug utilization reviews and assist with third-party claim resolutions.
- Process medical expense reports as needed.
- Contribute to the execution of company initiatives and programs.
