Job Summary

The Human Resources Manager will play a critical role in shaping the future of our organization by developing and implementing recruitment strategies, managing the hiring process, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. This position will also be responsible for coordinating employee training programs, leading performance management, and providing HR administration support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment & Staffing:
    • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for various positions within the agency.
    • Manage the hiring process from job postings and screening to interviewing and onboarding.
    • Partner with the care team to facilitate timely hiring and quality hires.
  • Compliance & Policy Management:
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Training & Development:
    • Coordinate and manage employee training programs, including onboarding and professional development.
    • Identify training needs and develop and deliver relevant training sessions.
  • Performance Management:
    • Lead the annual performance review process including package preparation, timelines, staff communication, manager and staff training.
    • Develop and implement performance improvement plans as necessary.
  • HR Administration:
    • Manage HR-related documentation, including employment contracts, disciplinary actions, and termination processes.
    • Assist in the development of KPIs, implementation, and continuous improvements of HR initiatives, policies, and procedures.
    • Counsel, provide guidance and support to management and staff on human resources policies, procedures, standards and legislation, workplace health and safety, and organizational requirements.
  • Team Development:
    • Organize team-building activities and foster a culture of collaboration and respect.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification.
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role, preferably within the healthcare or homecare industry.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Knowledge of HR policies and procedures and trends in the industry.
  • Bilingual is considered an asset, but not required.
