Position Overview: We are in search of a Senior Solutions Architect to join our OSS Architecture and Strategy team. This pivotal leadership role offers exceptional growth opportunities and is primarily based in Calgary, Alberta.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in formulating application and back-office architectural strategies, ensuring adherence to design, security, governing principles, and standards.
  2. Design and implement robust solutions that facilitate the reliable delivery of products and services, aligning with business objectives.
  3. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and support to project teams and other technical groups.
  4. Develop comprehensive design, approach, and planning documentation for approval and transition to implementation in an agile environment.
  5. Engage in project deliveries to ensure compliance with established solution designs.
  6. Deliver high-quality solutions that meet business needs and align with long-term application and OSS roadmaps, covering aspects such as application, data, security, infrastructure, network, and integration architecture.
  7. Implement and oversee security standards and best practices within the domain.
  8. Participate in collaborative architectural governance processes.
  9. Contribute to the development of architectural standards across all technology domains.
  10. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  1. 8-12 years of experience in IT and business, specializing in architectural design, systems lifecycle management, and cloud technologies within the Telecommunications sector.
  2. Proficiency in automation tools, with knowledge of one or more automation software products being advantageous.
  3. Experience with replication, high availability, archiving, backup, restore, and disaster recovery/business continuity storage practices.
  4. Ability to grasp new concepts and technologies, applying them to achieve optimal business outcomes.
  5. Strong communication skills, capable of articulating ideas clearly in a business context, including presentations to diverse internal audiences.
  6. Experience in resolving complex technical and design challenges.
  7. Collaborate with technical leads and developers to ensure effective realization of architecture through mentoring and direct involvement.
  8. Ability to operate at all levels, from strategic to tactical, and engage in both reactive problem-solving and proactive analytical thinking.
  9. Experience enforcing adherence to architectural strategies and processes across projects and programs.
  10. Familiarity with enterprise technical architecture, RESTful and SOAP services, and TOGAF certification is preferred.
  11. Demonstrated technical thought leadership while working with stakeholders from both technical and non-technical backgrounds.
  12. Experience with Network Inventory, Network Assurance, and Network Automation is a plus.
  13. Experience with enterprise integration is also beneficial.

Work Schedule: Full-time, Day Shift
