Position Overview

As a vital member of our finance team at L'OCA, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing financial data and ensuring the accuracy of our accounting practices. This position is ideal for an individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to delivering high-quality financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gathering, evaluating, and presenting cost accounting information.
  • Formulating strategies aimed at cost reduction and analyzing product pricing to maximize the company's return on investment.
  • Overseeing the complete cycle of inventory accounting, including monitoring and tracking discrepancies.
  • Maintaining the integrity of the inventory and costing database to guarantee precise data.
  • Collaborating with internal teams on production costing, budgeting, and forecasting initiatives.
  • Contributing to month-end financial reporting across multiple accounting ledgers for review and analysis.
  • Supporting system and process enhancements while providing constructive feedback for improvements.
  • Coordinating and supervising physical inventory counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Managing spoilage and facilitating interdepartmental transfers.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably within the retail or food production sectors.
  • CPA designation or in the process of obtaining it.
  • Familiarity with Netsuite and ECRS Catapult is considered a significant advantage.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of meeting tight deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and MS Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a preference for a fast-paced work environment.
Work Environment

This role is based in an office setting, requiring attendance five days a week, with occasional weekends and evenings as needed to meet business demands.
