We are seeking a highly skilled Department Manager to lead our General Merchandise team at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a polite and friendly manner.
- Assist customers with product information, locate merchandise, and make purchase decisions.
- Inventory Management
- Delegate and assist with the completion of Customer Availability Process tasks, including Section Work, Capping bins, and Stocking picks.
- Delegate and assist with the completion of price changes and feature sets.
- Delegate and assist with modular completion in assigned areas.
- Team Leadership
- Delegate and support with coverage in required areas on the sales floor as needed.
- Support with recovery and zoning activities.
- Train, coach, and offer feedback to associates.
- Store Operations
- Contribute to a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures.
- Ensure associate breaks are taken in accordance with coverage.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. business, retail management).
