Position Scope

The Production Team Leader is tasked with overseeing operations to guarantee that production runs in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. This role includes managing production schedules and assigning daily work tasks based on production requirements and individual strengths. A hands-on approach is essential, providing direct support for all team members on a daily basis. This individual will champion product/process safety, quality, delivery, and team morale. Additionally, they will be accountable for the continuous enhancement of the assigned department, along with the training and development of direct reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all tasks are performed safely and efficiently, adhering to company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Communicate, train, guide, and mentor team members to achieve operational goals that enhance team efforts in producing high-quality products.
  • Evaluate interpersonal skills, provide constructive feedback, and recommend methods for improving communication.
  • Schedule and allocate personnel based on the demands of the production schedule.
  • Continuously assess equipment capacity and material supply to optimize manufacturing output by adjusting personnel as needed.
  • Evaluate each employee's skills to align them with the requirements of various manufacturing areas.
  • Monitor and track output, manufacturing processes, labor efficiencies, operating expenses, and quality metrics for assigned cost centers.
  • Measure performance and quality standards.
  • Drive positive outcomes in operational Key Performance Indicators.
  • Establish and nurture collaborative relationships with other departments, such as Maintenance, Engineering, Finance, Planning, and Quality, to meet production targets.
  • Regularly meet with the Management Team to review production outcomes and identify improvement priorities.
  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety regulations and Labor Laws.
  • Skills in Conflict Resolution and Time Management.
  • Strong communication, presentation, organizational, problem-solving, teamwork, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications.
  • Effective use of technology, tools, and information systems.
  • Ability to foster a team-oriented environment.
  • Capability to provide guidance and direction as necessary.
  • Ability to set objectives, make decisions, and oversee operations with minimal supervision.
  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software.
  • Willingness to support operations during off shifts as required.
  • Ability to achieve business results both independently and through others.
