As a Project Manager within our Product team, your role will be to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software releases tailored to the requirements of our extensive government clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategically plan, execute, and deliver software projects that address real business challenges. Serve as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders from project initiation through to implementation and warranty phases. Effectively negotiate with internal stakeholders regarding project scope, resources, and timelines to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. Manage multiple software development projects concurrently. Develop and implement comprehensive project plans and charters. Collaborate with a team to devise innovative solutions for complex issues. Partner with the project technical lead to guide the project team and engage daily with development team members to ensure timely task completion. Foster a culture of respect among colleagues and clients. Ideal Candidate Profile: At least 5 years of experience leading software development projects, ideally with a focus on product development in a software environment. Proficient in project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Schedule, Scope, Quality, HR, Communications, Risk, Change Management, etc.). Experience managing internal development teams to deliver product releases, integrating developers, QA, technical writers, and other personnel into a cohesive project plan. Familiarity with managing projects in a hybrid agile environment, combining agile and waterfall methodologies. Skilled in creating project plans that include work breakdown structures, resource allocation, and scheduling for regular product releases. Experience in tracking project status, quality, and delivery metrics to assess progress towards project objectives. Proven ability to drive the execution of product releases post-development to ensure quality and timely delivery. Collaborated with product leadership to formulate strategies for achieving milestones and key deliverables. Demonstrated change management capabilities, adept at managing projects with anticipated changes while effectively prioritizing tasks and commitments. Experienced in assessing and managing project risks, with the ability to communicate these effectively to senior product management. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in providing leadership and mentorship to fellow project managers. Proven track record of driving process improvements in tool development within the product team. Supervisory experience with software development personnel. Familiarity with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Structure, and Tempo) for project management. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational abilities. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or actively pursuing certification.
